:: in Living Colour

Colour…Color…It’s simply in every aspect of life.

It’s even more inescapable when you are a living colour, when you are a dark living colour, when you are: black.

Colour, then, is not only seen as beautiful, but as ugly. It is questioned, criticized, and at other instances, respected, cherished, and loved. Yet, the latter, even in our modern times is hard to come by. With so many disapproving eyes beholding the lighter colour(s) of the world as beautiful, the darker colour(s) are left longing to beheld as the beauty of someone’s eye. However, as there are multiple sides to every story, it is only fitting to say that the darker colours haven’t gone completely unnoticed. They’ve painted the world in deeper, lusher tones that aren’t only complimented by their lighter counterparts, but can stand alone, be great alone. They've made life just that more sweeter.

And as H.P. Lovecraft once said, “Blue, green, grey, white, or black; smooth, ruffled, or mountainous; that ocean is not silent.”
