:: XXXII. Grams

As I’ve littered about many posts of mine time and time again, Bob Marley, hit the nail on the head when he spoke into the universe that, “One good thing about music—when it hits you, you feel no pain.” Music, as many can agree to, is a declaration of FREEDOM. It has the power to free your mind and soul from the weight and pains of life. It has the power to move you to FEEL. It has POWER. And like always, I try to share songs with the power to MOVE you. No matter the direction the song takes you, the point is that you are in motion… living… feeling… being… in the moment.

With that said, and without further ado, I want to share PJ Morton’s song, Ready, from his recently released PAUL album. PJ Morton, a New Orleans artist and songwriter, gives us the song Ready, packaged in a sultry yet perfect R&B lounge vibe that you can move to. A feel-good song, that explores the beginnings of something new and the pace at which it develops, this song also showcases how beautiful the beginning stages of becoming something more can blossom.

So, take your time with this song. Listen. Feel the words. Engulf yourself in those emotions that are growing within you.

May it leave you with nothing but warmth in your soul.

And remember, the destination isn’t always the best part. The journey itself usually is.

Enjoy.

Repeat.

And… of course… share.
